The Weight Of The Sky

The parched terrain

devours

the first few drops

it is starved

ravenous

A shiver

runs through

the barren greenery

as the drum beats of the rain

rumble

A bead of life

a teardrop of existence

spirals

from the lips

of the leaves

The forests sighs

and bows

it's grateful head

to the weight

of the sky
